Many of us know when to buy new clothes. When we buy new clothes we show them to our parents and friends. However, we never talk about our undergarments. Many don’t even know when is the right time to buy new undergarments.
In this video, we talk about the right time to change underwear for both men and women. But don’t worry, in our next video we will clearly explain about Vest and Bra.
Firstly let me tell you the importance of wearing underwear. Underwear is worn for a variety of reasons. They keep outer garments from being soiled by perspiration, urine, semen, pre-seminal fluid, faeces, vaginal discharge, and menstrual blood. Men's briefs serve the same function for the male genitalia.
If you google when to change your underwear, you will get many sites that say it should be changed every 6 months or 1 year. But that is not the case.
You need to make sure that you wash your underwear every day. When you wash it use a good detergent and also use Dettol. So that all infections & germs are killed.
If your underwear is in good condition, meaning the elastic is good and there are no holes you can continue using it. The cloth becomes too old, there are holes and the elastic loose. You have to throw it away.
Remember it is advisable to change your underwear before you sleep because the whole day you will sweat and the underwear will become dirty. When you wake up, have a bath and wear a fresh pair of underwear.
If you have recently suffered from a Urinary Tract Infection it is better to throw away the underwear used so that you don’t get an infection again. If throwing is not an option, wash the underwear with hot wear and use bleach.
Remember this is both for men and women.
Another point for women. If you have stained your underwear while menstruating and the cloth has become very stained and torn, it is better to change it.
As long as your underwear is clean and washed there is no problem.
