1st National Deaf Women's T-20 Cricket 2019
The Deaf Cricket Society hosts the first, Women Premier League 1st T-20 National Cricket Championship for Deaf in Vadodara.
The Deaf Cricket Society (DCS) had worked very hard to organise the 1st Deaf-ICC T20 World Cup in India. Teams from 5 different countries participated.The tournament was a huge success in India as well as all over the world. The DCS are members of the Deaf International Cricket Council.
They have now decided to encourage women in cricket by organising the Women Premier League 1st T-20 National Cricket Championship for Deaf 2019. Sumit Jain, the General Secretary of Deaf Cricket Society and his committee members want to create awareness for deaf cricket in India and all over the world. They have asked Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, cricket associations and different foundations to support these talented women.
The DCS wants to promote gender equality in the field of sports and in all stratas of society. They want to give the women a platform to compete and be proud of their disability. It will be held on 19 April to 22 April 2019 in Vadodara, Gujarat. Their Director is Mr. Imran Shaikh. The states of Delhi Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Hyderabad, Gujarat, Haryana, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh will be participating in this Championship.
