After Turkey & Syria Next Earthquake in India?
Dutch researcher Frank Hoogerbeets who predicted the Turkey & Syria earthquake, predicts similar earthquake in India, Pakistan & Afghanistan.
In a tweet on 3 February 3, Netherland researcher Frank Hoogerbeets predicted that an earthquake of greater than 7.5 magnitude would strike Turkey and Syria. His prediction came true three days later when, on Monday 6 February 6, 3 massive tremors shook the two nations. While, initially, no one took his prediction seriously, the tweet got an overwhelming response soon after the earthquake actually hit. He has become a trending topic of discussion. At present, the death toll due to earthquakes stands at 34,000, increasing with each passing hour.
Frank Hoogerbeets works for the Solar System Geometry Survey (SSGEOS), which is a research institute that monitors the geometry of celestial bodies in relation to seismic activity. In a conversation with India Today, he was asked about questions being raised about his predictions. "The reason for me to put out the February 3 tweet was based on extended research that I did. The research was based on past deadly earthquakes that have hit this region. On February 3, some seismic activity was observed in the region. I thought I should warn people that a powerful earthquake may hit the region anytime soon. However, I had no idea it would occur just three days later," Frank Hoogerbeets said. "The method that we use is controversial. We have done extensive research into past earthquakes and now we look specifically at the position of the planets. We attempt to find a pattern and we use that to anticipate larger earthquakes in the future and it works very well," Hoogerbeets said. Now, Hoogerbeets' latest video has predicted a major earthquake across Afghanistan, Pakistan and India.
Further, Hoogerbeets said, "Will look at the positions of the planets and the moon and then isolate critical timeframes as we did for 4 to 6 February.” When asked about the Indian scientists, he said, "If the Indian government contacts me, I am absolutely willing to share the knowledge we have." So, now the question is can you predict earthquakes?
The answer is No. According to US Geological Survey, either the USGS nor any other scientists have ever predicted a major earthquake. We do not know how, and we do not expect to know how any time in the foreseeable future. USGS scientists can only calculate the probability that a significant earthquake will occur in a specific area within a certain number of years. While some online users labeled his prediction as scary, others voiced their disapproval, asserting that the forecasts offered are false.
