Amazon to Start Food Delivery Like Swiggy & Zomato
In order to break Zomato & Swiggy’s duopoly in India, Amazon has decided to launch its own food delivery service.
In the last few years business in India’s food delivery market has increased a lot. Many companies had started delivering food but they all shut down. Till last year there were only 4 main companies that were delivering food in India. The 4 companies were Zomato, Swiggy, Uber Eats & OLA Foods.
Zomato acquired Uber Eats and OLA Foods business has become very less.So now Zomato & Swiggy are competing against each other. Now Amazon has decided to start its own food delivery service. Amazon has partnered with various restaurants in Bengaluru. They are testing food delivery on their Amazon App in Bengaluru. Amazon employees can now place food orders on the Amazon App and give their feedback.
They have even started hiring people who have experience working in restaurants.Amazon has a very strong delivery and rivals some of the world’s biggest courier companies.Till now Amazon has invested $6 billion in India to start various businesses.
