Arnab Goswami Granted Bail by Supreme Court
Republic TV Chief Arnab Goswami has been granted interim bail by the Supreme Court in the Anvay Naik suicide abetment case.
Republic TV chief Arnab Goswami on Tuesday 10th November moved the Supreme Court challenging the order of the Bombay High Court. The Bombay HC refused to grant him bail as well as the two others who were arrested in the 2018 abetment to suicide case. The application with the top court has reportedly been filed through lawyer Nirnimesh Dube. Hours after the Supreme Court granted him interim bail, Arnab Goswami on November 11 walked out of Taloja jail in Navi Mumbai. Mr. Goswami came out of the jail around 8.30 p.m. and waved to people assembled outside from the vehicle carrying him, and thanked the Supreme Court for granting him interim bail. A large group of people had gathered outside the jail. When he came out, everyone cheered and clapped for him. While standing on the car, he waved and flashed the victory sign and said this is the victory of the people. After coming out of jail, he went straight to the Republic TV newsroom.
