Autorickshaw Driver Contests Elections
An auto driver from Rajasthan seeks to win this election. He has spent only 1200 rs on his campaigning, and mostly depends on whatsapp to spread his message.
Anil Joya Meghwal is a 45 year old autorickshaw driver from Rajasthan. He believes that it is his fundamental right to contest elections in the country. He is fighting from the Jodhpur constituency. He will contest elections as an independent candidate. His campaigning includes printing just 4000 pamphlets, and spending 1200 rupees. He mostly relies on WhatsApp, to reach out to people. He will contest elections with the current Chief Minister’s son Vaibhav Gehlot, and Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat. He says that he is contesting the elections so that he is able to serve the country. He campaigns from village to village, by riding his autorickshaw. People too, respond positively to his campaigning. He belongs to the backward class community, and wants to do something for his community. He has two sons and a daughter.
He said that the whole world runs on a hope, and he too was hoping that he will win the election. He also hopes that that autorickshaw union supports him, and votes for him, so that he could do something for the rickshaw walas as well
