American President, Joe Biden has told fully vaccinated Americans that they can go outdoors without a face mask but have to wear a mask in crowds.
American President, Joe Biden has told fully vaccinated Americans that they can go outdoors without a face mask. But they still have to wear a mask in crowded outdoor events, as well as in indoor spaces such as a hairdressers, cinemas, museums, shopping malls and houses of worship. According to the USA's Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) ‘fully vaccinated’ means two weeks after the second dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines or two weeks after the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
Speaking to reporters on 27th April, Biden said, “Starting today, if you are fully vaccinated and you are outdoors and not in a big crowd, you no longer need to wear a mask. I want to be absolutely clear. If you are in a crowd, like a stadium or at a conference or a concert, you still need to wear a mask, even if you are outside. But gathering with a group of friends in a park, going for a picnic as long as you are vaccinated and outdoors, you can do it without a mask.” Biden said that the scientists are now sure that if you are fully vaccinated and out in the open air, then the chance of spreading the virus to others is very very low. He also hailed the stunning progress the US has made against the virus. Millions of vaccine shots have been administered and cases and deaths are down dramatically.He also urged hesitant Americans to get their shot as soon as possible. He said, “Don’t give up now. Keep following the guidance. Go get your vaccination now.
Biden also promised to help coronavirus-ravaged India. It is the USA's intention to send vaccinations to that country.
