Boy Commits Suicide Due to PUBG Ban
In West Bengal’s Nadia district a 21 year old student Pritam Halder killed himself as he was not being able to play PUBG.
In West Bengal’s Nadia district a 21 year old student Pritam Halder killed himself on Friday 4th September as he was not being able to play PUBG. Pritam’s mother Ratna said that on Friday morning after having breakfast Pritam went to his room. She added, “When I went to call him for lunch, his room was locked from inside. After repeated banging he did not open the door, I called the neighbours. They broke into the room and found him hanging from the ceiling fan.” Ratna claimed that her son was frustrated as he was not being able to play PUBG as it was banned by the government.
She said, “He would play it at night. I think he died by suicide as he was not being able to play PUBG.”The police said that Pritam Halder was an ITI student. Police said they have registered a case of the death. Pritam’s father Biswajit Halder is a retired Army man and the mother is a homemaker. They also have a daughter. PUBG Mobile was banned along with 117 other Chinese apps on Wednesday as it violated data rules and for security reasons. Before the ban there were several cases of killing, stealing, and other suicide cases because of PUBG. The game was beloved to a large number of people and its ban has caused a lot of panic in the mobile gaming community.
