China Sets up New Village in Bhutan

Amid the ongoing tensions along the LAC with India, a senior journalist working with the Chinese government media had posted the images of the village on 19th November giving out its exact location, but later deleted it. Reports now have it that China has occupied part of Bhutan as it has set up a village within Bhutan’s territory.
The village is close to a place called Doklam. Doklam is a part of Bhutan but in 2017, China invaded Doklam. Since Bhutan has limited military power, India stepped in and helped to defend its territory. India and China were almost at the brink of war. For 73 days, the Indian and Chinese military was engaged in a military standoff. Now 3 years after that incident, China has set up a village very close to Doklam. There is no information if the Bhutanese Government has given permission to China to occupy its territory.
