Double Murder: Man Killed in Daylight, Angry Crowd Kills Attacker
A trivial parking dispute in Araria, Bihar, spiraled into a horrific double tragedy when a vendor beheaded a driver in broad daylight, only to be lynched by a retaliatory mob shortly after.
The town of Forbesganj, Bihar, was plunged into horror on April 9, 2026, when a mundane parking argument escalated into a gruesome double murder that has left the community reeling and the local police under fire.
A minor dispute over a parking spot erupted between a roadside "sattu" vendor, Ravi Chauhan, and a pickup driver, Nabi Ali Hussain.
In a shocking display of rage, Chauhan allegedly beheaded Hussain in broad daylight with a knife. Eyewitnesses reported a spine-chilling scene as Chauhan reportedly paraded the victim’s severed head before fleeing.
The horror didn't end there. Infuriated locals and the victim's family tracked Chauhan down, dragged him back to the crime scene, and beat him to death with rods and sticks—reportedly while police were present.
Araria SP Jitendra Kumar confirmed that while additional forces have been deployed to maintain vigilance, the department is now tasked with a dual investigation: the initial murder and the subsequent mob lynching.
