Drunk Sister Killed by Her Two Brothers
Two brothers were arrested for allegedly killing their sister and throwing her body in the Hindon, Greater Noida.
Nazma, a 30-year-old woman’s body was found floating in the Hindon river on 13th of March in greater noida. Nazma was killed on 8th of March, strangulating (choking) her using her own dupatta. Nazma was found drinking and in a semi-conscious state and Sartaj, her brother received a phone call from the cops asking them to pick up their sister who was half conscious due to drinking. Sharukh and Sartaj, both the siblings went to pick her up. After picking her up, both of the brothers got into an argument with her and killed her. The brothers decided to dump her body in the Hindon river, greater noida. On the 13th of March, after a few days, a few locals found the body and informed the police. When sent for post mortem, they discovered that the reason for death was strangulation. The brothers were almost sure that this was their sister’s body. Upon internal discussion, they decided to take a step to misdirect the police. They went ahead and filed a missing person’s complaint for their sister and said that their sister had been missing since the last 5 days. They also told the police that they believed that the body they had found could be of their sister.
The police started investigating this case. After the first investigation, the police started to be suspicious of the brothers. Upon further investigation, both Sartaj and Shahrukh admitted to this killing. They said they had to do it for the honor of their family. The family’s honor was in danger because of Namza’s actions. Namza and her husband used to live in Surajpur but for the last year, they were living separately. They had four children out of which 2 were with Namza’s parents and two were with their father. Namza’s failed marriage was very upsetting to her family. The brothers also said that she had extra-marital affairs with a lot of men. She also has a drinking habit which her family did not approve of and was extremely disappointed about. Both the brothers were arrested on 19th March, Monday for the murder of their sister. They were produced in a local court and were put in judicial custody.
