Dubai Princess Sheikha Mahra Divorces Husband on Instagram
Dubai’s King Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s daughter, Shaikha Mahra Bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum divorced her husband via an Instagram post on 17th July 2024.
Dubai's royal family is known for its lavish lifestyle, but recently, one member found a unique way to end her marriage. Shaikha Mahra Bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, daughter of Dubai's current ruler Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, married Sheikh Mana Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid bin Mana Al Maktoum in a grand ceremony in April 2023.
Two months ago, Shaikha Mahra gave birth to their daughter and shared many pictures with her husband and baby on social media. However, a few weeks ago, she posted a picture cuddling her baby with the caption "Just the two of us" and two pink heart emojis, sparking rumors of marital issues.
On 17th July 2024, Shaikha Mahra took to Instagram to announce her divorce from Sheikh Mana in a very unconventional way. She posted a picture with the text, “Dear Husband, As you are occupied with other companions, I hereby declare our divorce. I divorce you, I divorce you, and I divorce you. Take care. Your ex-wife.” This public declaration suggested that Sheikh Mana was involved with other women.
Shaikha Mahra deleted all pictures of Sheikh Mana from her profile, and the couple unfollowed each other on social media. Her post caused a stir online, with many expressing their support for her, while others joked about the multiple-spouse policy.
