Finland Ranked as the Happiest Country in the World
The United Nations-sponsored World Happiness Report was released on 19th March, in which Finland has ranked as the happiest country in the world for the 4th consecutive year.
The United Nations-sponsored World Happiness Report was released on 19th March. The report ranked 149 of the happiest countries in the world. The past one year, marred by the coronavirus pandemic, was tough for millions of people across the globe, but it did little to alter the rankings of the world's happiest countries. Finland has been named the happiest nation for the fourth year in a row. This year too, the top positions were occupied by European countries except for New Zealand.

The United States is placed on the 19th spot for happiness, despite being one of the richest countries in the world. India ranked 140th. People in war-torn Afghanistan came last at 149 and is the unhappiest country in the world.
