Recently, a video of a store went viral where two female customers who are waiting in the store to be served by a staff member, are approached by the man who seemed to be just passing by the store. The man begins talking to them and then takes a tub of Curd from a shelf and angrily throws it over their heads which were not covered with hijabs. The attacker was then pushed out of the shop by the shopkeeper. Iran's police said that the two women have been arrested for showing their hair, which is illegal in Iran.  The man who attacked the females with curd has also been arrested for disturbing the public order.

Iranian president Ebrahim Raisi said, “The important matter is that today we have a legal mandate, which makes it mandatory for everyone to follow the law. If there are people who say that they do not share this belief of ours about the mandatory hijab, then there are places like, cultural centers as well as schools to discuss which will help change their minds. Iran’s Minister of Interior “Hijab is an unquestionable religious necessity. In Spite of protests and backlash from around the world, we are not relenting on this issue, and the rule remains.” Protests by women are still going on.
