Now Japan has started testing their newest version of the Shinkansen called the ALFA-X which is said to reach a speed of 400 km/h. The testing has begun already and will go on for 3 years. The train should be ready for the public by 2030 where it will reach a speed of 360 km/h easily becoming the fastest in the world. The train will have 10 compartments and a long pointed nose will help to reach such high speeds.
