Kim Kardashian Wears Strange All-Black Outfit to Met Gala
Kim Kardashian & her husband Kanye West wore full black outfit at the Met Gala which covered even their faces.
Yesterday a picture of a girl wearing a full black outfit with her face covered went viral on social media. She had attended the event along with a partner and even he was dressed the same! There were many funny memes being posted on social media. Many were confused about why they were dressed like that and what the programme was for.
The event was called the ‘Met Gala’. It is an annual fundraising gala for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute in New York City. Attending the event is not free. A person has to pay for a seat. Tickets for the event cost at least $30,000, ie. approximately 22 lakh. It is usually held every year in May but this year it was held on 14 September due to the pandemic. Every year there is a theme and people have to dress accordingly. People have really strange clothes and they are made by very expensive designers. However, nobody really understands the meaning behind the strange dresses and some guests who attend the event don’t bother following the theme, they wear what they want. This year the theme was ‘American Independence’ but people wore some super strange outfits.
The girl in the black outfit was actually Kim Kardashian & her husband Kanye West. Their outfit was designed by the luxury brand Balenciaga. Kim had a long black train and wore her hair in a long ponytail. Even her sister Kendal Jenner was at the event. When KJ saw Kim she was shocked at the strange outfit.
Lil Nas X who is an American rapper attended the event. He wore 3 outfits and changed on the red carpet. Yes he changed on the red carpet. For his first outfit reveal, Lil Nas X wore an ornate cape that was covered in intricate gold beading. This came with a long train. The rapper removed it to reveal a golden suit of armor underneath it. He then removed that also and underneath he was wearing a bodysuit covered in crystals. His outfit was created by the luxury brand Versace.
