Fights between a husband and a wife is a normal thing, but one husband and wife where a man has reportedly killed his own wife for not cooking rice for him.
A 23 year old man named Shankar Waghmare, a Scrap dealer in Bhiwandi, Maharashtra has been arrested for killing his wife over a small fight. Waghmare married Jyotsna a year ago. Residents said that the couple would often fight over small issues, and it was a routine for them to fight almost daily. Police inspector Atul Lambe, said, “The husband went home and started arguing with his wife over rice. In the heat of the moment, he started beating her with a wooden stick till she died. The neighbors from the chawl intervened but they found Jyotsna in a pool of blood. They held the accused, called and informed us.” The postmortem of the body revealed that Jyotsna suffered from multiple injuries in head, stomach and backbone which lead to her death. The accused has been immediately arrested on the charges of murder of his wife and is supposed to face strict punishments with the help of strong witnesses and evidence held against him.
