Mastermind of Ludhiana Court Blast Arrested in Germany
The mastermind of the Ludhiyana court blast has been arrested from Germany.
A bomb blast had occurred at the Ludhiana court complex on 23rd December that killed one and injured six others. Punjab DGP Siddharth Chattopadhyaya said that the person who died in the blast was former policeman Gagandeep Singh, but he was dismissed from job in 2019 and was in jail for 2 years for a drug trafficking case. He was assembling the bomb in the bathroom on the second floor. That is when the blast happened and he got killed. Intelligence agencies had earlier alerted about the involvement of Harvinder Singh Sandhu, who is currently in Pakistan, and Jaswinder Singh Multani, a top member of the Sikh For Justice and residing in Germany in the Ludhiana blast. According to the officials, during the Ludhiana bomb blast probe, the police recovered important evidence to show that the bomber was in touch with pro-Khalistani leaders. The intelligence agencies found that Gangandeep was in constant touch with Multani and that the Multani was responsible for arranging for the explosive material for the blast.
After diplomatic coordination, the German police arrested Multani from Erfurt city, Germany on 28th December 2021 for his role in the Ludhiana blast in Punjab. It also came to notice that he was planning more terror attacks in New Delhi and other cities in India. A team of Indian police officers will soon reach Germany to question Multani.
