Modi Urges Citizens to Light Candles on 5th April
Today morning at 9:00am PM Modi shared a video message. Let me tell you about his message. The country-wide lockdown completed nine days today. During this time, people all over the country followed the rules of the lockdown and remained at home. They have been disciplined and helped to protect India. On 22nd March everyone in India cheered for the healthcare workers and all those serving the country to help contain COVID-19. Looking at India, many other countries have copied this concept.
All of you sitting at home must wonder how can I alone fight COVID-19? PM Modi said that, none of you are alone. 130 crore Indians are fighting COVID-19 together by remaining at home. This awareness gives us motivation, gives us a goal and gives us the energy to achieve them, it further clears our path. Due to the COVID-19 there is so much darkness, negativity and uncertainty over what would happen next. But in such situations we need to constantly pursue to reach towards the light. We have to make sure to take the poor and suffering towards the light.
This is why I have one request. On 5th April Sunday at 9:00pm please switch off the lights of your homes. Stand on your windows or balconies and light a candle, diya or even your phone torch. When the entire country does this it will create so much light and brightness.
This brightness and unity will help us fight the COVID-19. But a sincere request is that please do this at home. Do not gather in large groups. Let's continue to practise social distancing. Because by social distancing we can remove COVID-19 from India. There is no bigger force than our enthusiasm and conviction. There is nothing we can’t achieve. Let us come together and defeat corona and make India win.
