Nagarjuna Apologises After Bodyguard Pushes a Disabled Fan

Famous Telugu actor & producer, Nagarjuna apologises to the elderly-differently abled fan, who was brutally pushed by his bodyguard for trying to approach Nagarjuna outside the airport.

We all love our favorite actors and always want to meet them, talk to them, get our picture clicked, or just see them closely.

But, a disabled fan of famous Telugu actor and producer, Nagarjuna, was treated highly disrespectfully when he tried to meet him.

Here’s what happened.

On 23rd June 2024, famous Bollywood reporter Viral Bhayani posted a video on his official social media handles at around 8:30 pm.

In the video, Nagarjuna can be seen walking towards his car at the airport. Famous Tamil actor Dhanush is walking just a few steps behind Nagarjuna.

A few seconds later, an elderly disabled cafe worker in a yellow uniform tries to approach Nagarjuna but is strongly pushed by his bodyguard before he can even greet him. The push was so strong that he almost tripped over and was saved by his co-worker from falling headfirst on the ground.

Nagarjuna continues walking and doesn't even look towards his fan.

Watch this video! Do you think Nagarjuna genuinely didn’t realize what happened or was he intentionally ignoring it?

On the other hand, Dhanush looks back several times at the fan with a worried look but neither goes up to him nor sends anyone to check up on the fan.

Viral Bhayani’s post went viral within minutes, and Nagarjuna and his bodyguard received a lot of backlash for their actions. In 2 days, the video has 44 lakh views.

One user wrote, “This is wrong at so many levels, itna attitude kis baat ka [What's the reason for such an attitude]?”

One user tagged Nagarjuna and wrote, "Hey @iamnagarjuna This is wrong at so many levels. It's important to show respect to everyone."

Another tweeted, “So insensitive.. is that how you treat elders?”

Many claimed Nagarjuna to be the most arrogant actor in Tollywood.

A person re-shared the viral video on X (Twitter) and highlighted that the fan is “physically challenged” for those who didn’t know or couldn’t make it out in the short 13-second video.

He also wrote, “...If you see other posts, he often gets excited when he sees actors and goes for selfies. Unfortunately, these people didn't know who he was, and they pushed him.”

Almost two hours later, Nagarjuna shared the video with an apology on X (Twitter) at around 10:20 pm.

Nagarjuna wrote, “This just came to my notice… this shouldn't have happened!! I apologize to the gentleman and will take necessary precautions so that it will not happen in the future!!”
