Petrol Diesel Price Increase in India

State-owned oil companies like, Indian Oil Corporation, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation and Bharat Petroleum - which own the majority of petrol pumps in the country - review the fuel prices on a daily basis, and implement any changes with effect from 6:00 am. Domestic petrol and diesel prices were increased further. It increased again yesterday. This was the 6th day in a row that the price has increased. Rates vary from State to State depending on the incidence of local sales tax or VAT. Rates are now at the highest level since September 2018. For the first time in 2 years, the price has increased so much. A point to note. The actual fuel costs with dealer commission cost Rs 30. The rest is TAX.
