Police Catch Fake Notes Made in Pakistan
A Thane resident was caught by the CIA at the Mumbai International Airport for carrying fake Rs 2,000 notes worth Rs 24 lakh.
Javed Shaikh (36), a Kalwa resident, arrived in Mumbai on a flight from Dubai on Sunday 9 February morning. He was arrested for carrying fake Rs 2,000 notes. There were a total of Rs 24 lakh in fake notes. The notes were of very high quality. The accused told police they were printed in Pakistan. These notes were then sent to Dubai so they could be sent to India. Demonetisation took place in 2016 and new Rs 2000 Notes were printed. The RBI said these notes were very secure and no one can print fake notes.In 2019, no new Rs 2,000 notes were printed.
The notes that were seized from Javed were of very high quality. A normal person would not be able to detect if it was awake. Javed was caught because someone had informed the CIA that a person wearing white jeans will be carrying white notes.
When Javed landed at Mumbai airport, he walked right through security. The security machines did not pick up the fake notes.
This is because, A scanner identifies notes if they are kept in bundles.It’s the edges of the bundles that get detected. However Javed made sure the notes were scattered. They weren’t able to find it.
After Javed landed he simply walked out of the airport and waited at the bus stop outside the airport to catch a bus.
Because of his white pants they were able to catch him but it a long time to find all the money as it was smarty hidden.
