Rajasthan Government Clears Farm Loans
Congress government in Rajasthan,Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh clears farm loans.
The new Congress government in Rajasthan announced to waive the farmer’s loans. Ashok Gehlot the Chief Minister of Rajasthan, said that loans amounting to Rs. 18,000 Cr will be cleared by the government. Farmers having a loan of Rs 2 lakh each will not have to pay them back.
During the elections, the Congress had promised the farmers that they would pay for all the loans they had taken. So that the farmers burdens are reduced.
Rahul Gandhi said that they had promised solve the loan problem in 10 days but they did it in 2 days instead. He also said that he won't let the PM Narendra Modi sleep till he takes care of all the farmer’s loans.
Earlier this week Congress government in Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh cleared the farmer’s loan immediately after they formed a government.
In Assam the BJP government cleared around Rs 600 Cr farmer’s loans.
