Robbers Blast ATM & Steal Rs 30 Lakh in Pune
Robbers blew up an ATM kiosk at Pimpri Chinchwad in Pune and made away with ? 30 lakh in cash.
This news will shock you. Thieves are breaking ATMs across the country and stealing money. There is an ATM kiosk in Pimpri Chinchwad area of Pune in Maharashtra. On 18 July, Some thieves used a bomb to blast the ATM. The bomb was so strong that the ATM’s door broke. After the ATM exploded they then stole Rs 30 lakh and ran away. There was more than 10 lakh in the atm but they. Did not have enough time so they ran away with 30 lakh. Police, after receiving information, arrived at the spot and the area was cordoned off. Police used sniffer dogs to investigate. A few days back, a similar robbery was attempted at Rajan village in Pune, but the ATM machine was not fully damaged and the robbers could not get the cash out.
Police now suspect that the same gang is behind the robbery in Pimpri Chinchwad and this time they used more explosives to ensure that the machine suffers adequate damage. In another incident, a gang stole money from an ATM of the Punjab National Bank (PNB) in UP’s Greater Noida on the intervening night of July 13-14. They had stolen more than Rs 17 lakh cash. Police have arrested 3 individuals in connection to the theft and have only recovered around Rs 2.50 lakh in cash from them.
