Rocket Man! Domino’s Delivers Pizza By Jetpack

Can pizza be delivered by flying delivery agents equipped with jetpacks inspired by Elton John's song "Rocket Man"? Watch our video to find out!

The advancements in the world of technology surely deserve a bow. A few years back, who would have thought that food could be delivered to our doorsteps with just a click on our phones? But then drone food delivery left us completely stunned. And as we move ahead in time, the food delivery world has witnessed yet another advancement. Never in our wildest dreams would we have thought that our food could also be delivered by flying delivery executives.  Domino’s Pizza was inspired by famous British singer Elton John’s song “Rocket Man” and delivered pizza for the first time using a jet suit.

Recently, there was a Glastonbury festival in the United Kingdom. The pizza lovers at the festival were in for a surprise when they received their Domino's order from delivery agents equipped with a jetpack.  Domino’s Pizza could not deliver food to them due to heavy traffic jams and a ban on vehicles entering the festival grounds. So the company decided to test a futuristic method of food delivery. Gravity Industries has developed a custom-made jet suit that allows the courier to fly, ensures his safety, and special technology has been incorporated that keeps the pizza warm.  The cost of the suit is not disclosed, but it is believed to be hundreds of thousands of pounds.
The Instagram page of Domino's UK shared the clip with the caption, "Who's seen our Rocket Man jetpack deliveries to Glastonbury this week?" The video showed a pilot hovering around a Domino's store wearing the iconic Domino’s delivery suit, helmet, and a customized jetpack. He slipped his hands into the jet-engine powered arm mounts and blasted off. Another clip shows a number of tents placed on a hilly terrain, and a delivery agent lands with a pizza storage box attached to the back of his suit. The Domino’s Pizza courier in a jet suit was able quickly deliver hot pizza to the festival guests. The video of such an experiment surely left internet users intrigued.  Many wondered if this was real. Another wrote, "Omg, that's actually amazing." Several believed that this "has to be the funnest job ever." One comment read, "The new member of the Avengers." However, it's important to note that the jetpack delivery method is not yet available for widespread usage.  There are numerous considerations that need to be checked before this technology can be implemented on a larger scale. Safety regulations, pilot training, and logistics are crucial aspects that need to be evaluated.
