Salman Khan House Firing: Police Arrest the 5th Man Involved

Mumbai Crime Branch arrested Mohammed Rafique Chowdhary (37) from Rajasthan on 7th May 2024 for providing guidance & financial help to the shooters who fired at Salman Khan’s house.

In a major breakthrough in the investigation of the recent gun firing incident at Salman Khan's house, the Mumbai Crime Branch has apprehended a 37-year-old man named Mohammed Rafique Chowdhary from Bansi village in Rajasthan. Chowdhary, alleged to be associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, is believed to have provided guidance and financial assistance to the shooters involved in the incident.

Officials revealed that Chowdhary's involvement came to light during the interrogation of other accused persons and subsequent technical analysis of their mobile phones. It was discovered that Chowdhary, previously engaged in his family's dairy business, had come into contact with gang members following the closure of his business during the pandemic.

Recruited by Anmol Bishnoi, Chowdhary was reportedly in direct communication with senior gang leaders and had surveilled Salman Khan's residence multiple times before the firing incident. He allegedly provided financial support to the shooters, instructed them on their "task", and facilitated their travel and accommodation arrangements in Mumbai.

Furthermore, it was disclosed that the shooters, Sagar Pal and Vicky Gupta, were recruited by a man named Ankit, who introduced them to the gang. Pal and Gupta, initially provided with money and later weapons, were unaware of the specific target until the weapons were delivered to them at their rented house in Panvel.

The Mumbai Police are actively seeking Ankit, believed to be the orchestrator of the operation in Mumbai. Meanwhile, Chowdhary has been remanded to police custody, and investigations are ongoing.

The revelations made by the Mumbai Police shed light on the intricate planning and execution of the incident, underscoring the need for continued vigilance and swift action to ensure the safety and security of individuals, including high-profile personalities like Salman Khan.
