Telangana: Parents Got Their Own Alcoholic Son Killed
In a shocking incident, a couple in Telangana's Khammam hired killers to get their only son killed as they were frustrated by his alcohol addiction and harassment.
Parents' love is considered as the most unconditional and selfless form of love. But can you imagine the amount of harassment the parents might have gone through before they finally decided to get their own son killed? This story might sound too odd to be believed, but is sadly true. In a shocking incident, a couple in Telangana's Khammam hired killers to get their only son killed and paid them Rs 8 lakh to do the job. Why? They were fed up with the harassment from their alcoholic, unemployed son. Kshatriya Ram Singh is the principal of a government gurukul in Maripeda Bangla village, and the couple's daughter is settled in the US. Their 26-year-old son Sai Ram, a college dropout, was strangled to death. Sai Ram used to abuse and beat up his parents when they refused money for alcohol. Family members said they had sent him to a rehabilitation centre in Hyderabad, but it didn't help. The couple was so fed up with the son that they sought help from Rani Bai's brother, Satyanarayana, to have their son killed. Satyanarayana involved others to carry out the act. The couple paid Rs 1.5 lakh in advance and agreed to give the balance of Rs 6.5 lakh three days after the murder.
On 18th October, Satyanarayana and one of the accused took Sai Ram in the family car to a temple in Kallepalli and met the other accused. All had liquor, and after Sai Ram got drunk, he was strangled with a rope. They then dumped his body in the Musi River. The body was found a day later on 19th October. The parents had not filed any missing complaint. When the body was identified, the parents were called to the mortuary to identify the son’s body on 25th October. The parents went to the mortuary in the same car in which Satyanarayan had taken Sai Ram. CCTV footage showed the car used in the crime led the police to the couple. Huzurabad Inspector Rama Linga Reddy said that the couple spilled the story during the interrogation. Kshatriya Ram Singh and Rani Bai were arrested on 31st October, along with four of the five alleged killers for the murder. One of the alleged killers is still not found.
