Two World War 2 Time Military Planes Crashed Mid Air

In an extremely heart wrenching incident, two military aircraft - a Boeing B-17 bomber and a smaller plane - collided mid-air at an air show at Texas's Dallas Executive Airport.

Aeroplanes getting collided mid air might be a very common scene in some of the Hollywood or Bollywood films. However, this scene can become a thousand times more horrific if it happens in real life. Now, in an extremely heart wrenching incident, two military aircraft - a Boeing B-17 bomber and a smaller plane, Bell P-63 Kingcobra - collided mid-air during the Wings Over Dallas Airshow at USA’s Texas' Dallas Executive Airport on 12th of November. The B-17 is a four-engine bomber plane which played a major role for America in winning the air war against Germany in World War II. Moreover, the P-63 Kingcobra was a fighter aircraft developed during the same war by Bell Aircraft but used in combat by the Soviet Air Force.

The collision was so impactful that it made both the aircraft immediately fall to the ground and burst into flames and six people, including all the crew members, were killed in the collision The dramatic visuals of two planes were captured on the camera by people attending the airshow show. In the video it can be seen that the bigger B-17 bomber flying, which was flying not very high from the ground, was in a straight line, while the smaller plane changing in its direction from the left and crashed on top of the B-17, and immediately the two aircraft break apart into pieces. Within a couple of seconds, the planes were on the ground, covered in a ball of fire.  One of the last major crashes of a B-17 was on 2nd October, 2019, when seven people died in an accident at an airport in Windsor Locks, Connecticut.

Meanwhile, in another shocking incident from Turkey. ??A strong explosion shook the busy shopping street of Istiklal in Istanbul on 13th November, leaving six people dead and injuring many more. Turkey's Vice President said it may be a suicide bomber who carried out the attack. According to images posted on social media at the time of the explosion, it was accompanied by flames and immediately triggered panic, with people running in all directions. A large black hole in the ground was also visible in those images, as well as Several bodies lying on the ground nearby. A middle-aged woman is said to have planted the bomb. Video footage showed the woman sitting on a bench for about 40 minutes and getting up minutes before the blast, The Turkish interior minister announced early Monday morning that a suspect had been arrested.
