India’s most wanted underworld don Dawood Ibrahim has been reportedly hospitalized for poisoning in Karachi, Pakistan.
India’s most wanted underworld don Dawood Ibrahim has been reportedly hospitalized in Pakistan. According to the rumors, Dawood was taken to the hospital two days back because of poisoning. However, Pakistan has not officially confirmed anything. According to the reports, Dawood is being kept under tight security in the hospital. Only top hospital authorities and his close family members have access to the floor. Dawood is one of the most popular underworld don, drug lord and terrorist. He belongs to Mumbai’s Dongri area and is the alleged mastermind of the 1993 Mumbai Bomb Blasts which resulted in the killing of over 250 people and injuries to thousand others. His gang of organized criminals are popularly known as the ‘D-Company’ and he is wanted for multiple charges of murder, extortion, drug trafficking, and terrorism and targeted killing of prominent personalities including bollywood stars, political leaders & businessmen in India. The Indian authorities firmly believe that Dawood has been living in Karachi’s upmarket Clifton area but Pakistan has often denied his presence in their country. In January 2023, Dawood’s nephew (son of Dawood's sister Haseena Parkar also told the Indian National Investigation Agency (NIA) that Dawood had remarried in Pakistan and lives with his new family in Karachi. Dawood Ibrahim and his D-company still control several criminal activities in Mumbai, including trafficking drugs, arms, counterfeiting, etc. According to the 10th edition of the Global Terrorism Index (GTI), Dawood and his gang have strong links with many global terrorist groups including Al-Qaida. Mumbai Police are trying to gain more information on the topic from his relatives Alishah Parkar and Sajid Wagle.
