Losing an eye can be devastating, both physically and emotionally. It can become a life-altering experience that can make one become dependent on support services. Brian Stanley had to go through a life-altering experience after he lost his eye due to cancer. But this engineer from the US turned his loss into an opportunity to test a gadget he created.

When Brian lost his eye, he did not wear an eye patch or start wearing glasses. He instead created a prosthetic eye that works as a flashlight. He describes himself as a gadget geek and innovator and he now shows off his eye to the public.  The man displays his glowing right eye, which gives out a beam of light, making him appear like a robot or an android in a science fiction movie.  He keeps showcasing his eye on social media accounts.  He calls his eye "Titanium Skull Lamp", and added that it was perfect for reading in the dark and to help him navigate dark spaces without needing a lamp or flashlight.  He wrote along with the video, “Switched off and on with magnetism.”

Brian has shared several videos of himself experimenting with different prosthetic eyes. He can be seen using different colours and cutouts to achieve some seriously distinct and eye-catching looks. He has even made some for Halloween. He added, “ It has officially been 5 years since I first started replicating prosthetic eyes and machining them out of Titanium . It has been a completely unique experience. I'm hoping in the near future I can further upgrade things."

His videos have got millions of views and thousands of comments. Many appreciated his idea and even proposed to buy one for themselves. Would you like to experience one? Let us know in the comments section.
