Wadhwan Brothers Escape Mumbai & Violate Lockdown
Billionaires Kapil and Dheeraj Wadhawan, have been detained in a Maharashtra hill station after they were caught violating the coronavirus lockdown.
Billionaires Kapil and Dheeraj Wadhawan were involved in a scam with the DHFL company and Yes Bank. They were caught by the police at their farmhouse in Mahabaleshwar For violating the coronavirus lockdown.
Last month, the Wadhwans were called by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to question them about the financial scam of Yes Bank.However the two brothers did not go to ED. They have ignored the ED’s summons for the third time. They said that they can not come because of the COVID-19 pandemic and safety is very important.
On Wednesday night 8th April, KD & DW along with 20 family members drove Mahabaleshwar in five cars. cooks and servants were taken along as well. They were given special passes by IPS officer Amitabh Gupta. When they caught by the police in Mahabaleshwar they showed the police a letter written by the IPS officer which said that. This is to just inform you that the following are well-known to me as they are my family friends and traveling from Khandala to Mahabaleshwar for family emergency...Hence you are hereby informed through this letter to cooperate with them to reach their destination,"
The police were alerted by local people. The entire family have all been quarantined there.The IPS officer who gave the pass has been on compulsory leave for helping the Wadhwan family. The CBI is considering taking them into custody once their quarantine ends.
