Woman Runs Away and Lives with Lover for 11yrs
A woman in Kerala’s Palakkad’s Ayalur village, who went missing 11 years ago, has been found living just 500 metres from her parent’s home with her lover.
Sajitha lived in Kerala’s Palakkad’s Ayalur village. 11 years ago she went missing. She was 18 years old at that time. She has been found living just 500 metres from her parent’s home with her lover. Sajitha had left home in February 2010 and walked into Alinchuvattil Rahman’s house. They both loved each other. She was not found all these years. She did not keep a mobile phone at that time and all the search attempts by the police and family failed. Nobody had any idea about their affair since usually, both the persons go missing when it comes to elopement. Rahman lived with his parents, sister and nephew. But he had a separate room in the house and never let anyone inside. Sajitha used to live in this room. Nobody knew about it. His parents too never bothered him because he used to get very angry.
He also kept some electric wires outside the door, from which his family members even received shocks on a few occasions.Many times, he would not even go to work and used to take food inside the room. All these years, Sajitha was able to keep herself entertained with the help of a small TV. Rahman had removed a few bars from the window of his room that enabled Sajitha to go out for toilet etc during the night since there was no attached toilet. After all these years, 3 months back Rahman had a quarrel at home and stomped out. His family filed a missing complaint with the police. Then on 8th June, Rahman’s brother Basheer spotted him on the road. Then they found that Rahman was living with Sajitha on rent in another village.
Police produced them before a local court and the court allowed them to live together as Sajitha said she wanted to live with Rahman. According to the Police SHO Deepa Kumar A, the couple hid their relationship as they belonged to different religions. The couple was taken to Rahman’s house and they told how Sajitha had lived secretly in a single room for all these years. According to a neighbour, Rahman was considered an introvert and people also suspected that he had mental issues. It is still unclear why Rahman and Sajitha finally left the house three months back.
