A grown-up can go without food for three weeks, but cannot do without water for even three days. This is true! Water helps in digestion, gets rid of our waste, and is also responsible for producing sweat, a necessary thing for our bodies.
But did you know excessive consumption of water is actually harmful?

Kidneys remove toxins from your body, but they are capable of processing only 800-1,000ml of water in an hour. Excess consumption of water in one hour means your kidneys are overloaded. So one average a human needs 3-5 litres of water. So keep drinking little by little at regular intervals.

A healthy human urinates six to seven times a day. Reduce your water intake if your urination is more than this count.

Overconsumption of water also may lead to muscle cramps.

If you drink too much water you may also feel dizzy and confused.

Experts suggest you take water only when you feel thirsty or dehydrated.
