For years you may remember that Deaf Camps were organized in north India. They were for Deaf Youth between the ages of 18-35. You all know so many people would attend it. Then the Coronavirus pandemic happened and there was a lockdown. All social meetings were banned and everything stopped. This was a big change in our lives. Three people named Rahul Jain, Siddharth Jain, and Abhishek Mishra were very unhappy about the decrease in social gatherings since 2020. They wanted to have physical gatherings where Deaf could socialize and communicate in Sign Language. After much discussion, they made a decision. See this logo? They created the logo and decided to organize camp there every time. In May 2022 they announced a camp that was not only for Deaf youth. It was for everyone. Children, families, CODAs, Adults, and anyone, A-Z could attend the event. In a blink of an eye, 250 people attended the camp. They enjoyed playing games, rafting, camping, socialising, presentations, etc. There were many activities. Have a look. Those pictures were so exciting!

Then in May 2023 why wasn't the camp organised? The camp has been postponed to September 2023.

It will be during the International Week of the Deaf! It's the perfect time for camping! Children, adults, families, CODAs, and anyone can attend and enjoy by communicating in ISL. Here are the dates. Perfect. Now you may wonder why is it for 4 days. In May last year the camp was for 3 days, why is it for 4 days now? Now there is a lot more to enjoy! You can do rafting, camping, trekking, and so many different activities. There will be games as well. There will be presentations about IWD as well! You will surely enjoy all the activities. Here are some pictures of the September 2023 camp location. It's so much fun! After 3 days of doing activities, on the 4 day there will be a Gala night! You can enjoy the food, swimming, DJ, etc. The Deaf will have a great time chatting amongst themselves. You will surely remember these 4 days for life. Children, CODA, and Family can all come. Age is no bar! This is the perfect opportunity for you to enjoy your holiday. For this camp, there is a limit of 200 people. Currently, 70% is booked. 30% is still available. After the 4-day camp, do you think you get to head back on 1st October? The organizers have another idea. Close to Rishikesh, there is a place called Mussoorie and Dehradun. It is beautiful and pleasant. Accommodation and travel to this place have separate fees. Contact this person for all the details.
