10yr Old Rape Victim Denied Abortion in Ohio, USA
Due to Supreme Court of America’s decision to make abortion illegal, a little girl who had become pregnant after rape had to to go another state for abortion.
The Supreme Court on June 24 overturned the 1973 landmark Roe vs Wade decision that made abortion a constitutional right. For the last 50 years women in the USA abortion was legal but it has become illegal. In some states it is legal and in some states the decision to ban it will be made soon. Now shocking news has emerged. In Ohio, USA, a 10 year old girl was raped and because of that she became pregnant. The girl wanted to abort the child but in Ohio because of the SC’s decision abortion was banned immediately. Even though she was raped there was no exception. The girl was not allowed to abort the child. Her doctor was helpless and wanted to do something. So the doctor called a doctor in Indiana which is the neighboring state and asked that doctor if they would agree to abort the child as it is still legal in Indiana. The doctor agreed and the 10 year old child had to travel to Indiana. However in a few weeks Indiana is also planning to ban abortion. Doctors in the state are very sad after the ban they will not be able to help such women. The government is also ploanning to impose strict punishments on doctors who do abortions illegally.
