5-Yr-Old Orders Cakes & Ice Cream Worth $1200
Boy accidentally orders Rs 64,900 worth of ice cream and cakes, gets them delivered to dad's office.
Kris King lives in Sydney and works as a firefighter. He was at home watching his daughter's football match. So he gave his smartphone to his 5 year old son Christian to keep him busy. Sometime later, Christian told him, "Something's on the way," But Kris probably ignored it as child talk. Minutes later King's wife got a call from an UberEats driver about delivery. The family ordered food often so this probably didn't seem unusual. Then his mom realised what her dear child had done. The boy was supposed to be playing a game on his father's phone when he made the purchase from Gelato Messina. Christian had used his father's phone to order A$1200 i.e Rs 64,900 worth of ice cream and cakes. The order was so long that Kris had to flick the screen several times to see the complete list. Also Christian had got them delivered to his father's workplace. On receiving the order, the firefighters promptly put the sweets in the fridge till Kris came to pick up the order as he was at home that day.
Christian had ordered several cakes, ice creams, etc some of which were his favorite cakes. The boy wasn't choosing randomly while ordering. He ordered things that he loved. The boy's sugary shopping spree left netizens debating over the punishment he could receive. One user said, "I’d probably ban them from eating the ice cream." Another wrote, "I’d take the money from their piggy bank maybe." However, after hearing what had happened. UberEats agreed to make a refund. The company took to Instagram to share the hilarious story.
