96 Year Old Kerala Granny Scores 98/100 in 1st Exam of Her Life
A 96 year old granny clears the first exam in her life scoring 98%
When Karthyayani Amma at the age of 96 decided to take the first exam of her life no one thought she would be able to clear it.
But breaking the pattern of elderly village women who never went to school she topped the exam with 98% marks.
She is a mother of 6 children of whom only 2 are alive, 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren and now wants to learn how to use a computer. Her husband died 57 years ago.
She got full marks of 30 each in Maths and reading and 38 out of 40 in writing in the three module exam under “Aksharalaksham”.
She received her certificate from CM Pinarayi Vijayan at a function on Thursday.
Amma who did small jobs like cleaning a temple to look after her family said that she wants to study at least upto 10th standard and clear the exam with good marks.
