In a shocking incident which has been reported from Sangli, Maharashtra, nine members of a family were found dead in their house on 20th June. The bodies were found in a house at Mhaisal in Sangli district. According to the Sangli police, the incident was reported to them at around 1.30 p.m. on 20th June.
The police said thatManik Vhanmore, a 49 year old and his brother Popat Vhanmore who is 52 year old doctor by profession used to stay in two separate houses less than a kilometre from each other with their wives and children, while their mother lived with Manik and his family. Police teams were rushed to both houses. The doors were broken open and the police entered the house to find all the nine members of the family lying on the floor and on beds lifeless. They were all rushed to the local hospital, where they were declared dead before admission. "There are no external injuries on any of the bodies. Police wondered how both the families could end up dead like that. No one's throat was slit, there were no signs of strangulation, and the bodies were merely strewn around. They wondered if it was poison. Upon further investigation they found a suicide note. A post-mortem revealed that the family died due to poisoning. Contents of the letter were kept confidential. The police wanted to know who was responsible for the deaths. When the police revealed the contents of the letter, it said that the family was having trouble repaying a loan. Names of the money lender were also mentioned. The cops became suspicous as there was no mention of a suicide. After an intense investigation, two tantrics were caught. They told the brothers that there is a hidden treasure in a few pe that is sure to make them rich. The tantrics demanded money for the rituals, which will help locate these treasures. The brothers, excited by this, gave the tantrics money, who then went away. When a lot of time had passed, the brothers kept contacting them for the money and received only excuses. On 19th June the tantrics visited their home. While making small talk, they poisoned the tea. They were all at Manik's. The entire family had the tea and dropped dead. Then tantrics then fled. After an intensive hunt, the tantrics were arrested. Manik Vhanmore, Popat Vhanmore, his 30 year old daughter, his wife, his 28 year old son, his 70 year old grandmother were all found dead. Manik Vhanmore, his children and his entire family were all found dead. How devastating. The two men have been arrested.
