Aamir Khan's daughter, Ira Khan and fitness trainer Nupur Shikhare got married on 3rd January 2024 at Taj Lands End, Bandra in Mumbai. The couple married each other by signing official marriage papers to register their marriage which was followed by an intimate party of family & friends. According to the reports, Ira is the founder and CEO of a mental health support organization and Nupur is a celebrity fitness trainer. Ira and Nupur were in a relationship for over three years. The couple met each other for the first time during the COVID-19 lockdown when Nupur was training Aamir Khan. Nupur proposed to Ira during a fitness event in which he was a participant. They got engaged to each other in November the following year. Aamir Khan was accompanied by his former wives Reena Dutt & Kiran Rao. What made the wedding unique was the groom Nupur’s ‘fitness’ take on baraat. Nupur, who is known for his fitness prowess, chose to jog 8 km from Santa Cruz to the wedding venue in Bandra instead of the traditional grand entrance with his friends. Nupur decided to give up even the traditional groom outfits and got married in black tank top & white shorts but Ira was dressed in a traditional lehenga outfit. Upon reaching the venue, Nupur celebrated by dancing to the beats of the dhol. He was warmly hugged and welcomed by Aamir Khan. Later, Nurpur resorted to wearing traditional sherwani with jacket for the reception with close family & friends. The reception was also attended by Mukesh & Nita Ambani. Several videos of Nupur and his boy squad jogging to the wedding venue and Nupur & Ira signing the marriage paper are going viral on social media. According to the reports, a private reception of the newlywed is planned in Udaipur on January 8 followed by a grand reception in Mumbai on January 13 for Aamir’s Bollywood friends & contacts.
