Actor Dilip Kumar Admitted to the Hospital
Bollywood veteran actress Saira Banu took to Twitter and rubbished death rumours doing the rounds regarding the death of the legendary actor Dilip Kumar.
Veteran superstar Dilip Kumar (98) had been admitted to Mumbai’s PD Hinduja Hospital for breathlessness on Sunday 6th June morning. The actor’s wife and actress Saira Banu had said that the actor has been facing breathing issues for the past few days. To check up on him, politician Sharad Pawar also paid a visit to him at the hospital in the afternoon. Saira Banu took to Twitter and rubbished death rumours doing the rounds regarding the death of the legendary actor Dilip Kumar. She took to Dilip Kumar’s official Twitter handle and wrote, “Don’t believe in WhatsApp forwards. Saab is stable. Thank you for your heart-felt duas and prayers. As per doctors, he should be home in 2-3 days. Inshallah.”Doctors at Hinduja Hospital diagnosed Dilip Kumar with bilateral pleural effusion. It means a build-up of fluid between the tissues that line the lungs and the chest. His oxygen levels had dropped as well. However, he is stable and not in the ICU. He is currently on oxygen support. Doctors say that if all goes well he will be discharged in 2-3 days. Dilip has been unwell for a few years now. The 98-year-old actor often visits the hospital for check-ups. He had a check-up last month as well. Last year, Dilip lost two of his brothers, Ahsan and Aslam, to Covid-19.
