After Sushant’s Death, Karan Johar Loses Instagram Followers
After the suicide of Sushant Singh Rajput, Karan Johar has lost followers on social media after being blamed for nepotism.
Ever since Sushant Singh Rajput’s death on 14th June, social media is abuzz discussing the reason for his death and the problems of nepotism in Bollywood. Karan Johar, in particular, has been blamed by people for not supporting Sushant and only selecting his favourite actors in his movies. However, Karan has not responded to any of these blames and is completely silent. Because of this controversy, many people have started unfollowing him on Instagram. He has lost more than 5 lakh followers on his Instagram account.
As per statistics shared by the social blade - a website that tracks social media statistics and analytics - said that Karan earlier had 11 million followers on Instagram. Now he has 10.4 million followers.
Even Alia Bhatt lost many followers. However, Kangana Ranaut due to the bold videos she recently uploaded, has seen an increase in her social media following. Earlier she had 2 million followers now it has increased to 3.9 million. While Karan, Alia and Sonam Kapoor among others were called out for being a part of the "privileged groups" and "camps" in the industry, Kangana was lauded for slamming Bollywood left, right and center.
