According to the New Zealand Ministry of Health, the country has had 1,531 confirmed coronavirus cases within its borders, and just 25 deaths. The country's borders remain closed to visitors, the best way to stimulate the tourism sector is by encouraging locals to travel domestically. But amid the Covid-19 pandemic, all of travel seems like a big question mark. However, Air New Zealand is bringing back its Mystery Breaks offer. In Mystery Break, travellers pay a flat fee to book an entire vacation package including flight, accommodation, transportation with the airline. But they are not informed of the destination and the details until two days before they leave.
The carrier is offering three separate packages – Luxury, Great and Deluxe options. All three packages include flights to and from one of Air New Zealand’s 20 domestic destinations. The packages begin at $422 AUD approx Rs. 32,00. The passengers can select the dates they wish to travel. Customers are allowed to nominate one place they would prefer not to go upon booking. Jeremy O’Brien, Air New Zealand’s General Manager of Brand and Marketing said, “We're really excited to have refreshed Mystery Breaks. It is a way of supporting and boosting the local tourism.” Isn’t this such a unique way to travel!
