Bollywood actor Aamir Khan (56) previously married Reena Dutta in 1986. They have two children -- son Junaid Khan and daughter Ira Khan. The couple officially got divorced in 2002. Khan then met Kiran Rao on sets of the 2001 movie "Lagaan" and got married in December 2005. She is a director and producer.They welcomed their son Azad Rao Khan in December 2011. On 3rd July Khan & Rao announced their divorce after 15 years of marriage.
The couple released a joint statement saying: “We had separated a while back but now we have made the decision to divorce. Even though we were living separately, we are still like family. We will continue to work as collaborators on films, Paani Foundation, and other projects that we feel passionate about. We remain devoted parents to our son Azad, who we will nurture and raise together.”The news of their divorce went viral on social media. On 4th July a video was shared online by a paparazzi Instagram account. In the video Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao sat next to each other holding hands, as he addressed their fans.
In the video the couple said, “You all must be saddened and shocked by the news. We just want to tell you that we are very happy and we are a part of one family. Our relationship has changed. But we are still with each other, so please don’t think otherwise.”
