Amitabh Bachchan Buys Plot in Ayodhya to Build Home
Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan has bought a plot worth ?14.5 crore in a luxury project in Ayodhya ahead of the Ram Mandir ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony.
Bollywood superstar & former Lok Sabha member Amitabh Bachchan has bought a plot worth ?14.5 crore in Ayodhya ahead of the Ram Mandir ‘Pran Prathista’ ceremony. The plot measures around 10,000 square feet and is in a 7-star mixed-use enclave project called ‘The Sarayu’ by Mumbai-based developer The House of Abhinandan Lodha (HoABL). ‘The Sarayu’ project spreads over 51 acres. It includes residential plots, villas and tall luxury apartments. According to the people familiar with this transaction, Amitabh Bachchan intends to build a second home on the plot to make his origin roots stronger. Amitabh Bachchan was born in Allahabad (now Prayagraj) Uttar Pradesh, a city very close to Ayodhya. The veteran actor claims that the city of Ayodhya is very special to him. He said “I am looking forward to embarking on this journey in ‘The Sarayu’ project in Ayodhya, a city that holds a special place in my heart. The timeless spirituality and cultural richness of Ayodhya have forged an emotional connection that transcends geographical boundaries. This is a start of a heartfelt journey into the soul of Ayodhya, where tradition and modernity seamlessly co-exist, creating an emotional tapestry that resonates with me deeply. I am looking forward to building my home in the global spiritual capital." The ' Sarayu’ project, too, was inaugurated on the same day of the Ram Mandir ‘Pran Prathista’ ceremony i.e 22nd January 2024. It will also have a five-star palace hotel in partnership with the Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts. The project is 15 minutes away from the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple and 30 minutes away from the Ayodhya International Airport and 4 hours away from Prayagraj. The project is scheduled to be completed by March 2028. Abhinandan Lodha, chairman of HoABL, said that Amitabh Bachchan was the "first citizen" of The Sarayu and his investment "reflects confidence in the city's economic potential and deep appreciation for its spiritual heritage."
