Earlier, ISH News released a video about famous Bollywood actress & TV judge Malaika Arora’s father Anil Arora dying by suicide by jumping from his house’s terrace/balcony at around 10:30 am on 11th September 2024. As you may remember from the previous video, Malaika shared a post on social media about the untimely demise of her 62-year-old father at around 10:30 pm on the day of the incident itself i.e. 11th September 2024. The post had the deceased person’s name as Anil Kuldip Mehta, not Anil Arora. This sparked curiosity among fans and they commented on the post questioning why Malaika & her father’s last names differed. They also pointed out the small age gap of just 12 years between Malaika and her father as Malaika herself is 50 years old. The confusion has now been clarified that the man who died allegedly by suicide was Malaika’s stepfather, Anil K Mehta. Whereas, Malaika’s birth father Anil Aroa, who is a retired Indian Navy Merchant and very much alive.
According to the reports, Malaika’s mother Joyce Polycarp married Anil Arora first and had 2 daughters from the marriage, Malaika & Amrita. However, Joyce & Anil Arora got divorced when Malaika was 11 years old. Later, Joyce married Anil K Mehta and shifted to Bandra. One reason for this published confusion is the same first names of Malaika’s father & stepfather. Famous international information website Wikipedia also mentioned that Malaika’s birth father Anil Arora had died by suicide earlier but changed it to “Malaika’s stepfather Anil K Mehta” yesterday after ISH News released the video. In other updates, Anil Mehta’s postmortem report said that Mehta died after suffering severe injuries in the head, back, hands, and legs caused by the impact of the fall. However, it is still not confirmed if Mehta jumped himself to commit suicide or if he slipped and fell. The Mumbai Police continue to investigate this. Mehta was cremated yesterday. Many prominent Bollywood personalities attended his funeral. Videos of famous Bollywood personalities attending Mehta’s funeral and videos of Joyce crying inconsolably during his last rites have gone viral on social media.
