Bollywood Legends Hospitalised: Dharmendra, Prem Chopra & Govinda Recovering

Veteran actors Dharmendra, Prem Chopra, and Govinda were recently hospitalized families confirmed all three are stable, urging fans to avoid false news and respect their privacy.

Veteran actor Dharmendra, 89, best known for his iconic role in Sholay, was admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital on 31st October 2025 due to breathlessness and age-related complications. His wife Hema Malini, daughter Esha Deol, and sons Sunny and Bobby Deol visited him. Several celebrities, including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Govinda, and Ameesha Patel, also came to check on him.

Soon, social media was flooded with false news about his death. Esha Deol clarified that her father was stable and recovering, requesting privacy for the family. Hema Malini also condemned the spread of misinformation, calling it “irresponsible and disrespectful.” Despite the family’s statements, several public figures, including Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Chiranjeevi, Javed Akhtar, and Bhagyashree, mistakenly posted condolences, later deleting or apologizing for them. Dharmendra was discharged on 12th November and continues recovery at home.

Around the same time, veteran actor Prem Chopra, 90, was admitted to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital for chest congestion and a viral infection. His son-in-law, actor Vikas Bhalla, confirmed it was a precautionary admission and that Chopra was stable. Interestingly, Chopra expressed concern for Dharmendra’s health despite his own condition.

Adding to fans’ worry, actor Govinda, 61, fainted at his Juhu home and was admitted to CritiCare Hospital. Doctors have confirmed that he is stable and under observation. ISH News extends heartfelt wishes for the speedy recovery of Dharmendra, Prem Chopra, and Govinda.
