Boy Cross Over To India; Handed Over to Pakistan
An eight-year-old boy was handed over to Pakistani authorities after he inadvertently crossed the Indo-Pak border.
An eight-year-old boy had inadvertently crossed the border between India and Pakistan and entered India on Friday 2nd April 2021 evening. Officials said that The boy was identified as Karim, a resident of Nagar Parkar in Pakistan. ML Garg, deputy inspector general of Border Security Force, said the boy started crying and he was given chocolates and food when border guards found him on the Indian side in Barmer. Garg said they held a meeting with the Pakistani border guarding force before handing over the boy to them. After the meeting the boy was handed over to Pakistani authorities.
This is not the first time that people have crossed the border by mistake. Similarly, Gemararam Meghwal, 19, from Barmer, Rajasthan crossed the border on 4th November 2020 and is now stranded in Pakistan Meghwal is believed to be in the custody of Pakistani’s Sindh police. Officials said efforts were on for his repatriation.
