A 16-year-old boy died after playing a mobile game PUBG for 6 hours, suffering a heart attack.
PUBG the very popular shooting video game on mobiles, has taken over the public in India and around the World, with millions playing the game everyday. Tragedy struck the Qureshi family when 16 year old Furkan Qureshi had a heart attack while playing the game for 6 hours straight.
Furkan was sitting with his sister as he played and suddenly started shouting at the phone, “blast karo, blast karo”. He started to cry and removed his headphones and threw his phone on the ground. He fell on his knees and while crying said, “Ayan, I will not play with you, you made me loose.” He collapsed on the floor.
Family members rushed to his aid and took him to the hospital, where the doctors declared him dead on arrival. Dr. Ashok Jain said the boy did not have a pulse when he reached the hospital where they tried to resuscitate him but to no avail.
Dr. Jain said the boys heart seemed to be in a healthy condition as he was a swimmer, but thinks that the excitement from the video game caused him to have a surge in adrenaline which caused the heart attack.
The game has been banned in several cities in India like Surat and Ahmedabad and nearly 20 people have been arrested. The ban was in force for nearly a month before being turned over.
