A brother and sister from Punjab got married to obtain a spouse visa for Australia. The brother and sister, cheated a court in Punjab and registered their marriage. Police carried out an investigation and realised that the brother was a permanent resident of Australia.
He made fake documents which said that his sister was his cousin. First they got a marriage certificate from a Gurdwara and later registered their marriage at the sub-registrar’s office. After getting married, the couple travelled to Australia and fooled the Immigration authorities there as well.
The police said that they have cheated the law as well as the society by committing such a crime. The investigation is going on.The police haven’t been able to catch them yet.The police said that they have seen many cases of visa fraud, but this is the first time they have encountered such a scam.
