BSF Jawan Held by Pakistan, PM Modi’s Big Warning to the World
Tensions between India and Pakistan have increased after a BSF constable was arrested at the border and Pakistan took several strong steps following the Pahalgam attack.
The tension between India and Pakistan is rising every day after the deadly terrorist attack in Pahalgam. ISH News has already shared a few updates, and now there’s another big development from the Punjab border.
On 23rd April 2025, a Border Security Force (BSF) constable named PK Singh (some say PK Sahu), was arrested by Pakistan Rangers after he accidentally crossed the international border near Firozpur, Punjab. He was guarding farmers working near the border and unknowingly went to rest under a tree on the Pakistan side due to the heat. He was in full uniform and had his service rifle.
Pakistan quickly arrested him and shared a photo of him blindfolded. BSF has confirmed this and said they are in touch with Pakistan for his safe return. Such incidents have happened before, and under international law, he cannot be mistreated. People are hopeful, just like how India got back Wing Commander Abhinandan with respect in 2019.
Meanwhile, Pakistan has taken strong actions in response to India’s recent steps:
- Pakistan Suspends Shimla Agreement: This deal was signed in 1972 to solve the Kashmir issue peacefully between the two countries. Now, Pakistan wants to involve other countries like China or the UN.
- Airspace and Border Closed: Pakistan has closed its airspace for Indian flights and stopped issuing visas to Indians. Indian flights to Gulf or Europe will now take longer routes.
- Third-party Trade Stopped: Earlier, Pakistan used to import goods from India via other countries like UAE or Iran. Now, even that has stopped. This will affect Pakistan more, especially for goods like medicine and cotton.
Amid all this, PM Modi gave a powerful speech in Bihar. While speaking in Hindi, he suddenly switched to English to send a strong message to the world. He said that India will not spare the terrorists behind the Pahalgam attack and will punish them wherever they hide.
At the same time, the Indian Air Force has started ‘Exercise Aakraman’ for defence readiness, and the Navy is testing missiles near the Pakistan sea border.
Also, a house belonging to two terrorists involved in the Pahalgam attack—Asif Sheikh and Adil Thokar—was destroyed in a mysterious blast. Whether it was done by the army or due to hidden explosives is still unknown.
As the situation becomes more serious, people are asking: Is war coming? Only time will tell.
